heart of green

Found a cool blog and took the How Green Are You quiz. Apparently I'm looking for a sustainability sweet spot...find a way to balance living well with living green. It says I'm ready to take the next step in my eco-committment. Sounds about right.

I want to plant a garden this spring, and now is the time. We've passed our last threat of an overnight freeze, and I've been looking for something to do with the old wooden posts out front. They'd make a great bed for planting. Just need to detract potential pests and I'll be set.

More incentive to grow my own food...just read about 12 foods that are best bought organic. It's kind of scary how little we know about what's in our food.

The other 8 include meat, coffee, apples, grapes, celery, potatoes, lettuce, and tomatoes.

In other news, picked up my bike from the shop last Friday. I'm so excited to ride. That crank is so smooth and the gears so simply. Can't wait to put some stickers on the frame and a hand guard on the brake.
