super shoppers

We were given a Sam's membership by dear friends of ours and were eager to cruise the store.
It was our first trip, so we felt the need to walk up and down each and every jumbo-sized isle.
Not knowing what we'd find, we decided not to push a cart, figuring we should probably only buy what we could carry in our arms. This, in the end, was a good choice.

While we know that buying in bulk can save dollars, it can also super size waistlines. We saw lots of carts carrying buckets of cheese puff balls - like Puffy Cheetos, only bite sized. This was phenomenal to us, because each bucket was easily 3 or 4 gallon-sized.

We, however, chose to buy a few things we felt were a good price, but also would get consumed (in a healthy way) before e_piring. Below is what we got, in addition to 2 lbs of Pup-peronis, 40 oz. of dried chicken dog treats, a book on keeping marriages healthy, and a Calvin Klein tank.

I do feel the need to e_plain the pound of spinach, 3 pounds of bananas and almonds, respectively, and jumbo-sized Craisins. (The reusable coffee cup is just to add perspective.) We've been on a trail mi kick which e_plains the Craisins and almonds, and we've been on a green monster smoothie kick and have been going through 1 lb of spinach and about 5 lbs of bananas each week. Call us crazy. That's nothing new.

Anyway, thanks to our Boos for the membership. We look forward to saving money, shopping wisely, and taking secret pictures of carts full of cheese puffs.

recycle happiness,
